The As Safe As Possible Campaign organizes National Childhood Injury Prevention Week (NCIPW) each September, to focus public attention on unintentional childhood injuries. Use this celebration to recommit yourself — and others — to stopping the #1 killer of American children. Our colorful NCIPW resources will help call attention to the week and it's theme: Making NO BOOBOOS a reality for ALL children!
Preventing Childhood Injuries . . . the first step toward guaranteeing “OUR” children’s future. Every young child's natural curiosity demands that they roam and explore every nook and cranny they can find. This natural curiosity results in the over 2,600,000 children, who are injured in their homes each year. And experts agree, many of those injuries could be prevented through public awareness and education.
Because the future of our country starts with our children.....we must recognize that prevention, is the only way to reduce the number of children who needlessly die or are injured as a result of preventable injuries in their homes. That is what National Childhood Injury Prevention Week is all about; preventing unintentional childhood injuries.
