- Ascension Place, Inc. operates two programs in North Minneapolis, Ascension Place and St. Anne’s Place. The organization was founded in 1981 and has continued to expand its services since that time. Ascension Place opened its doors in 1981 to provide women with a supportive living environment. Then in 1990, St. Anne’s Place was founded as demand grew for a short-term emergency shelter for women with children. Our clients primarily come from the Twin Cities metro area.
