- Kathy Hebert was born in Burlington, Vermont more than half a century ago. Her first introduction to art, aside from paint-by-numbers, came when she attended Pratt Institute as a Fashion Design major. Art classes were a requirement and everyone at Pratt was convinced that Ms. Hebert would never get very far in the art world! However, because she couldn't get any worse, any minor attempt at drawing and painting brought her a great sense of pleasure and accomplishment. She could only get better!
