- A lover of art and art history for most of her life, Liz began producing her own works relatively recently (summer, 1999) when her husband came home one day with the gift of an easel and materials for painting. She began working in oils and enjoyed it so much that she decided to formalize her training by pursuing an art degree, educating herself on theory and technique, and practicing what she learned. She enjoys working in pastels, oils, watercolors, and photography. Themes found in her work include the simple beauty found in the everyday world, exotic places which become familiar, architecture in art, the convergence of aesthetics and science, and the expression of the soul and memory in art.
