About the Artist
Daniel Calderon was born in Mexico City on October 31, 1983 and promptly moved to the United States. He grew up in Houston Texas surrouded by art, music, family and other great things and thoroughly Enjoyed drawing as a hobby. In 2005 he studied privately with mexican painter, the late Jorge Flores. In 2006 he enrolled in the Glassell School of art for classes in sculpture. He began casting in bronze in 2007 and graduated from University of Houston with a BS in Economics in 2008. During the summer of 2009 Daniel attended the Marble/marble Sculpting Symposium and began carving marble. In 2010, he began his exploration of ceramics.
