- In rural Iowa during the early 1900's, there was no such thing as running to the drug store when someone experienced a burn or other skin irritation from working hard on the farm. As they say, “Necessity is the Mother of Invention”, so the Armstrong Family concocted a “family recipe” to deal with just such emergencies.
- Through the years, and after many generations of use, “the recipe” was refined and improved and found to be beneficial for uses far beyond the burns and irritations for which it was originally intended.
- One day, the current generation, Robert Armstrong, used “the recipe” on a burn experienced by his then 18 year old grandson, Ryan.
