- Formed in May 2002 by Laura Kane, The Arcadia Players usually perform in and around the Skipton and Keighley area of West and North Yorkshire.
- Before the group came into existence, some of our members were involved in a group called Spot! On Amateur Productions, which was founded back in May 2000 by Laura and Emma Bowskill. The pair met while working as dressers at The Alhambra Theatre in Bradford, and four months later staged their first amateur show.
- Although Spot On! was disbanded in April 2002, when Emma moved to Reading to train as a professional actress, Laura quickly grabbed the bull by the horms and formed The Arcadia Players.
