Arthur R. Henry founded his company in 1946 when he ventured out on his own after years of being the chief engineer for a major construction company. His company, Arthur R. Henry, Inc., Contractors and Engineers, began competing for telephone, electric and gas work as well as water and sewer installations in the South Jersey area. He then progressed into pile foundations, bridge and road construction, complete site work, and a Class B recycling facility.
