- It was the early 1920s in the Australian city of Melbourne when an enterprising young man by the name of Bill McGeary first entered the passenger transport business. During a cable tram strike, Bill built a bus body onto a tray truck and started ferrying passengers over part of the tram route.
- In 1927, Bill purchased his first new coach, and in the 1930s, he emerged as the owner of a three bus school run. By the 1950s, Bill began to concentrate on an area in which he saw growth, charter work and social group outings.
