- Appalachian Radiation Oncology and The Regional Cancer Center is also affiliated with the Radiation Therapy Oncology Group (RTOG) and Harvard Medical School's Massachusetts General Hospital to offer cutting edge clinical research trials on cancer diagnosis, prevention, and therapy.
- The RTOG is the largest multi-institutional radiation therapy research cooperative in North America, consisting of 250 of the major research institutions nationally and in Canada. Appalachian Radiation Oncology and the Regional Cancer Center is the only facility in Tennessee east of Nashville to have met the rigorous accreditation requirements of the RTOG and have been selected for membership.
- Our services are accredited by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer, the agency that approves cancer programs across the country.
