About Apocalypse.org

Apocalypse.org is a server that started operation on April 20th, 1994. It supported a community of friends as a central server for email and web pages in the tradition of guest machines at MIT, where members of the AI Lab and LCS had long provided computer access to people who didn't otherwise have it. Apocalypse.org provided email and web service at a time when there were few free hosts offering it, and even provided dial-up service for a while.
