Title
Antrim Hospital Intensive Care Unit
Description
Excerpted from the website:
- Antrim Hospital ICU plays an active role in the provision of the Intensive Care Medicine service for Northern Ireland. We are the main ICU for the Northern Health and Social Services Board area, but we also regularly receive and care for patients from all over the province.
- Intensive Care is an extremely busy service, and there are periods when an Intensive Care bed will not be available in the hospital closest to a patient. In these circumstances the patient will be moved to the nearest available ICU bed (if their condition is stable enough) or a more stable patient may have to be moved to another unit to make way for them.
