- AnimeUSA.com opened on August 4th, 1986 as Splash Page Comics in Kirksville,Mo. We expanded in to anime goods in early 1989 with what Gundam models we could find, and the rest was history. We closed the retail shop on December 29th, 2001 and went to strictly mail-order and convention appearances as the way of servicing our customers.
