After a gazillion and one complaints about the site and forum loading too slow. We've decided to move servers. We'll still keep this server online (it has all the media and is a great server over all). The company that's hosting us is a good friend of Boyd's and mine, so he gave us a good price and is also helping us configure our account. You may have noticed this, but Anime-Me has grown! We are serving over 120 people every 30 minutes >.> Not to mention the annoying DDoS attacks that don't make things any easier... Boyd will be busy moving the site. I would help too, but I have my finals now. It shouldn't take that long to move though. It all depends on how much time Boyd has smile.gif
Ok, now for the shameless begging... I seriously hate to ask for donations, but we seriously need them. I paid 310$ this month and over 700$ last month. I seriously can't keep paying for all this shit alone. Please donate whatever you can. I know that most of you are leechers that couldn't give a damn about the site, but please if you would like to help anime-me spread the love of anime, then please donate! I personally paid over 14000 US dollars to maintain this site for over 3 years. I don't want any of that back. All I want is to be able to offer free anime without having to worry if I'll have enough money for lunch... Boyd will put up a donater page when he has the time and you'll be added to that page if you donate. We'll also give you some cool perks if you donate 5 dollars and more. Please don't make us turn this into a premium site where you have to pay for anime.

Well, our first day was pretty exciting ^^ Our stats went up, I got to meet some new people, people commenting on the site and so much more. Let's all look forward to an even better day tomorrow. Ok, now some news. We got a new admin today (Kadar). He will be handling the anime information on the site amongst other things. He already donated his script to the site and hopefully we'll be able to modify it and launch it very soon. Basically, what it is is an anime encyclopedia. This should help our members learn more about the anime that they are downloading. Anime-me is the biggest provider of free anime on the net. Why shouldn't it be the biggest information provider too? I'm sorry for not linking some media for you today. I was busy discussing some future plans, but tomorrow I'll link around 100GB Glad to see the most of you enjoying the site^_^

- I'm not quite understanding the section headings. Yes, I just make the dates into 3rd-level headings because that seems to make sense, but the "description" heading doesn't make sense to me. Are these "updates"? Maybe make that clear somehow? TedErnst (talk) 19:02, 18 December 2007 (PST)
