Hi, I'm LYN (from South Texas). I first learned to Crochet in 1974, when I visited my grandmother in Las Vegas. Grandma Iva taught me a DC with an H hook and a very plain back and forth pattern.
That got me "hooked" (smile) and I then started buying pattern books, I had to teach myself to read these patterns! Most things were made for family and friends.
By 1978 I was really into it, collecting every pattern I could get my hands on, buying supplies and making a lot of things.
