Andy Belmont competes on the ARCA RE/MAX Series, driving the YearOne.com Ford. Andy has been a strong competitor in the ARCA Re/Max Series since becoming a regular in the series in 1998. He has finished in the top ten of season points in all but one of the eight years he has competed in this highly competitive series.
Andy started his racing career in 1976 at the famed Flemington Fairgrounds Speedway in New Jersey. At the age of 18 he started last and finished second in his first event. Four years later, Andy won the track championship at Nazareth Speedway in Pennsylvania. In 1987 Andy began competing in NASCAR's Dash Series and won Rookie of the Year honors. The following year, he was the series champion driver/owner.
In 1989, Andy started his first NASCAR Winston Cup race at Dover International Raceway. In 1992 he ran for Rookie of the Year and finished second to Jimmy Hensley. Running in only five ARCA events in 1995, Andy earned three top five finishes. Three years later he became a regular competitor on the circuit, finishing the 1998 campaign in 5th place in the final point standings. He backed that up with a 6th place finish in 1999. The following season resulted in another top ten finish in the final point standings.
