- Andrew Barrowman is an artist painting the landscape of Cornwall, particularly The Lizard Peninsula. Working mainly in oils he strives to capture the changing light and rugged coastal landscapes in a realistic style of painting. Painting outdoors (en plein air) helps to achieve this by getting close to the subject and creating a first hand visual memory that can’t be gained from purely photographic reference. Andrew is often painting on the coast and you may see him, but usually he finds a secluded view point or a large rock to hide behind so that the concentration is not disturbed. Navigating through the web site you will find 3 galleries - coastal / seascape, landscape / inland and wildlife. Forthcoming exhibitions and projects are in the events section.
