Ancient and Future Catholics: A Catholic Vision for Postmodern Christianity

- We believe in the teachings, doctrines, worship, ethics, morality and practices of the Catholic Church. Thus, we embrace the full ancient and timeless teachings of the Church, and any teaching contrary to the Magisterium of the Church is purely unintentional.
- Christ is Risen! His Church, the body of faithful on earth, lives within history, within the cultural contexts of today and tomorrow. Today we live in the postmodern age, and this is the age in which we must contextualize the Catholic faith. Tomorrow we will certainly face new challenges, and must be able to articulate and make available the Catholic faith then as well as now. We wish to undertake the delicate task of making Catholic Teaching relevant and meaningful in all contexts, including our own, without sacrificing our Tradition on the altar of secular, popular, and cultural traditions. As such, we wish to take the faith to postmodern people, who often feel alienated from Christianity.
- We are a part of the worldwide Catholic Church, that transcends regional jurisdictions and time periods. We are part of the living historical community of Christians past and present. Recognizing that to be truly universal we must explore Eastern and Western forms of Christianity, we proudly partner with Eastern Christians, Orthodox and Catholic. We seek to be an ecumenical bridge between Orthodoxy and Catholicism, without smoothing over the differences, but working together in the ways that we are able based on our current separated status, striving toward a future full reunion of East and West. In this way we are responding to the our Lord's prayer and the Holy Father's recent reiteration of this, that we may all be one.
