- In 1980 after 3 decades as wholesale textile merchants, the Choksi Family decided to diversify into the manufacture of color chemicals. Extensive research had recommended two products – Naphthols and Bon Acid. Hence Anar Chemical Industries was born.
- As a results of the quick strides the company made, the range of products was augmented over the years to include Metal Phthalocyanines, Phthalocyanine Green Pigment and Non-Benzidine Acid/Direct Dyes, and Liquid Petroleum dyes, and side by side, a trading range of dyes and pigments was also developed in order to better serve the needs of customers and a strategy also formulated to give emphasis to international business.
