- Amenda Candle Company initially began as a hobby for Billy and Ann Duncan back in 1995. They wanted a way to spend more time together, so they began crafting candles at home and taking them to craft fairs and festivals. Aromalite Candle Company, as it was known at the time, became very popular at these events. As customers became familiar with their hand-poured candles, the demand for them grew.
