Alan's Biography
I have worked in the jewelry industry for over 30 years always at the manufacturing and wholesale side of the business. From 1972 till 1992 I worked with a major diamond and color stone jewelry manufacturer in the Midwest. My specialty was loose diamonds, diamond jewelry sales, color & diamond jewelry manufacturing, and antique & estate jewelry sales. We provided multiple merchandising programs to many of the major retailer such as Zales, Sterling, QVC, and Federated Department Stores. I enjoyed working directly with the retail clients, designing their personal jewelry item at diamond remount events, held in the JL Hudsons and Zales stores throughout the Midwest.
In 1993 my family moved to the west coast of Florida and from 1993-1997 I worked as the Director of Marketing of a gold chain manufacturer in Florida. Our clients were many of the same mass merchandisers I have worked with my entire career. From 1998-2002 I have worked directly with several major gold jewelry producers from South America.
Throughout my diamond jewelry career, constantly serviced private clients, helping to guide their purchase of important diamonds has always been my passion. In 2003 AM-Diamonds.com was established with the sole purpose of working directly with private clients.
