- Originally from New Jersey, Maggio was brought up exposed to the fragrance industry. Her godfather, Leonard Cuozzo, founded the Paul Sebastian fragrance line in 1979. To this day, Paul Sebastian is sold worldwide with sales of over one million units per year.
- Maggio, in the meantime, moved to South Florida with her family, and worked her way through the ranks handling marketing for professional sports teams and events such as Orange Bowl, the Florida Marlins, and the Florida Panthers Hockey Team.
