- Started in 1986 in the building it still occupies. This was originally a garden centre, converted by Norman McKinnon into a mixed veterinary practice and then in 1986, he moved out. He still carried on the large animal side of the business, while Thom & Sue Wilson took over the small animal and horse work in 1986.
- Various adaptations were made to the inside of the building to accomodate the changing ways of Alphavet.
