Alpacas - The AAWW Home Page - Representing more alpacas than any other AOBA affiliate
Description
Excerpted from the website:
- The Alpaca Association of Western Washington (AAWW) is a group of alpaca owners, breeders, and enthusiasts who have come together as a regional affiliate organization of the international Alpaca Owners and Breeders Association (AOBA). Our goals are to raise public awareness of alpacas and their luxurious natural fiber, share knowledge and resources, plan and organize alpaca events, represent the interests of Western Washington alpaca owners as an affiliate organization of AOBA, and have fun!
- Anyone who has an interest in alpacas and lives in (or near) Western Washington state can be a member of the AAWW. Most members keep alpacas on their own ranches, but some members board their animals on other ranches (this is called agistment in the alpaca biz). Some of our members are simply enthusiasts who want to meet local owners and find out more about the joys and challenges of alpaca ownership before taking the plunge.
