Thank you for visiting my site! My name is Adam Short and I've been interested in computers since high school. I built my first desktop PC my freshman year in college and received a laptop from my Dad on my 22nd birthday. It was truly one of the best gifts I've ever received!

I truly enjoy working on my laptop and learning about the amazing new technologies that are constantly emerging. My passion for computing led me to building this site, which I started in 2003.

My main goal is to provide the average consumer -- someone with little to no computing experience -- with easy-to-understand tips, ideas and tutorials for buying a suitable laptop at a reasonable cost, and then getting the very most out of the machine that they choose.
