Title
Albion Time Tours - Historic tours in Britain that include Bath, Avebury, Silbury Hill and many other sites
Description
Excerpted from the website:
- In Roman times, 2000 years ago, writers like Pliny the Elder were using both "Britain" and "Albion" to describe this island. In older texts, only "Albion" is used. Incidentally, the word "Britain" is itself probably a corruption of an older word "Pritain" which has survived in the Welsh language as "Prydain".
- So the name "Albion" is certainly extremely old and there is much controversy regarding it's etymology.
