The Akron Community Prayer Luncheon is held for the purpose of acknowledging the role of God in our lives and in Akron's workplace. A steering committee made up of Akron business men and women has planned the annual luncheon since its inception in 2000. The Steering Committee and the luncheon are not affiliated with any church, but since 2005 the luncheon has been a ministry of the Akron CBMC.
