Ait Iktel is an small village in the Atlas Mountains of Morocco. An agrarian community of about 800 inhabitants, Ait Iktel is a village of flat-roofed stone homes built into the mountainside, and it is about a two-mile walk uphill along a dirt road from the nearest town. Its main agricultural products are wheat and olives, yet they are produced primarily for local consumption and rarely sold beyond the village.
