This website was founded in December 2000 on a free webhosting server (Tripodnet, owned by Lycos), but it was not until halfway January 2001 when the first visitor was logged. Therefore, I consider the first of January 2001 to be the official foundation date. In this period, the website mainly featured fact sheets about all types of aeroplanes. It was also in this period that my interest in aviation gradually moved in the direction of plane spotting.
