Our Organization Adopt-a-Village in Guatemala (AAV) is a 501(C)3 small independent grassroots Guatemalan charity that aids impoverished Mayan children of northwestern Guatemala with education needs. Most familes are returned refugees from that country’s long-standing 36-year civil war. Our Goals Our goal is to empower Guatemalan children through educational programs that teach leadership and self-help skills so they may improve their future lives.
