He is a past member of the Shelby Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, was President of the Shelby Kiwanis Club, then served as Lieutenant Governor of Division 11N of the Ohio District of Kiwanis, He has served on the Board of Directors of the Shelby "Y" Community Center, is a member of the Shelby Masonic Lodge, Aladdin Shrine, and was active with Shelby Girls softball.
