- Action Paintball games began in 1999 with Mike Whybrew, John Caruana, and Bill Starke. After looking around and seeing paintball fields fighting for the bottom of the market, the three decided to form a paintball business that focused on giving the social player the best day of paintball, with the best facilities and best equipment available. After running a field at Helensburgh, Mike and co. chose a property at Rouse Hill, 20 minutes from Parramatta. This made Action Paintball the closest field to the central business district. Starting off using Badgers, Automags, SL68 pumps, and a handful of Tippmann Pro Carbines, the field now uses Tippmanns as a base rental gun, with JT Tac-5s, Smart Parts Ions/Shockers/Nerves and the unbelieveably fast Proto Matrixes as upgrades.
