- Laura, who runs our United States office, has degrees in Biology and Education. Laura fell in love with Africa when she worked as an HIV/AIDS researcher for four years in Uganda. She has worked with the North Carolina Zoo to develop conservation education programs for Ugandan teachers, and emphasizes environmental awareness in all of her classes. She guides student trips to Africa each summer.
