In one of Africa's poorest countries, Burkina Faso, extreme poverty is everywhere. Even for the able-bodied, it is often a struggle just to survive; to be born there not just poor but also disabled therefore is to suffer a tragic fate... The homeless disabled struggling to survive on the streets of its largest city, Ouagadougou, have nowhere to go to meet their most basic needs - to use a toilet, to wash, to have a hot meal and to get some first aid.
