Instead, we set out to create a monument to our cherished pets in the form of a 'memorial park'. Memorial park means that as an alternative to the upright headstones and rather gloomy atmosphere of a traditional cemetery, Abbey Glen offers an impeccable manicured park-like setting with flush memorial markers resulting in an uplifting park-like atmosphere. While the memorial park theme has been appealing to adults who have come to Abbey Glen, we have found a special reward in the gentler introduction for children who visit the Park to help make arrangements for a lost special friend.
