On July 31, 2009 , the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority and the Amalgamated Transit Union, Local 268 expired. In May of 2009, Local 268 sent notice to Joseph A. Calabrese, the GCRTA’s Chief Executive Officer, of its intent to reopen negotiations.
