Description
The Association of Passenger Service Agents/CWA (Local 6001 of the Communications Workers of America), is a national organization for passenger service agents at American Airlines. Having our own organization with our own leaders and members from airports and reservations centers across the country will enable us to strengthen and deepen the level of support that we need to get union representation and collective bargaining rights at our airline.
Eligible to join the Association of Passenger Service Agents (APSA/CWA) are American Airlines' customer service employees, agents who are on furlough with recall rights, as well as retired American Airlines' agents. The following employee groups are eligible to join APSA/CWA and should also be eligible to vote in our next union representation election (retired agents are not eligible to vote in NMB union representation elections).
Retirees: Retirees have joined APSA/CWA to have voice in the only organization that can protect their retirement benefits, which are not guaranteed without a contract.
