After retiring from a career as a professional dancer, first as a soloist with the Martha Graham Dance Company and later as a freelance choreographer and teacher, Sharon moved to Massachusetts and began painting. “Painting is much like dancing. They both strive to capture mood through use of color, line, and composition, drawing the viewer into the world created by the artist. Where I once communicated by movement in space, I now tell my story through the dance of brushes and paint.
