A-Law Attorneys is a Belgian law firm providing both national and international legal services. Internationally, we are a founding member of Eurenet (European Recovery Network), a European network primarily focused on recovery within Europe. The firm has several liaison offices throughout Europe, America, Asia and Africa, facilitating the exchange of lawyers and thus legal knowledge. A-Law is therefore well placed to offer a range of integrated legal services to organisations engaged in international trade.
In addition to the Belgian team of lawyers, the head office in Antwerp is also host to a team of foreign lawyers, testimony to the firm’s innovative approach. Currently the foreign lawyers present in Antwerp are Mo Chen (China), Natalia Medko (Russia), Marisa Scheepers (South-Africa), Agnes Borges ( Brazil/Portugal), Iwona Wiewiorka (Poland) and more are to follow from India, Bulgaria and other emerging economies.
A-Law’s customers include both multinationals and SME’s active across all economical sectors ranging from logistics and auxiliary services (all modes of transport), machinery and equipment, chemicals, petrochemicals, pharmaceuticals, agriculture, food and beverages, textiles, hygiene, design, IT services, etc. as well as global risk insurers and brokers. The firm’s strength lies partly in that it calls upon lawyers from academia, the corporate world and the insurance industry in particular, as well as lawyers with experience in foreign law firms.
A-Law’s close involvement with the transport and logistics sector means the economics behind the law is very much familiar territory.
Indeed, A-Law is described as “a full service firm” by Legal 500 (ed. 2005), the legal practice reference guide. The firm covers a wide range of legal domains with a particular focus on transport and the field of insurance.
