4D Hosting is part of 4D Data Centres Ltd providing secure colocation and managed services from our data centre in Byfleet. Shared and reseller hosting on the Windows 2003 platform with HELM is also available.
The 4D data centre in Byfleet offically opened on the 1st October 2007 following investment into the company. We have since expanded our support teams to improve on our levels of customer service as well as started to roll out new web and email platforms for shared customers to improve reliability and access times.

For example for 7 days over xmas 2006 the hosting was down and the owners were unreachable.
- Company Response:
This was due to a denial of service attack and was less than 7 days. Support was operational but we had to put a recorded message up to deal with the call volume with the problem was resolved.
- Customer Concern:
The emails were down for almost a whole month in jan 07
The hosting was down for huge blocks of time during january as well, blamed on massive load from spam, but this doesnt cut well with your clients.
- Company Response:
Emails issues in Jan were due to Merak Mail causing us problems with the level of mail we were receiving at the time (A lot of it spam). This has since been resolved by rolling out a new platform.
- Customer Concern:
David him self is a genuinly nice bloke, its just a shame the hosting service isnt to the same standard as him.
- Company Response:
In the last 3 months we've taken on 3 more staff to help speed up ticket response/resolution times and are in the process of moving the web platform to a new clustered solution to improve reliability and we're also expanding the email platform for shared customers.
