Four Square was founded in New Zealand soon after the end of the first world war, by Mr. J. Heaton Barker in 1923, and we believe the Independent Four Square operator of today truly owes a debt of gratitude to those men whose courage and foresight brought the Four Square Organisation into being and fostered the principles for which it stands.Four Square came to Australia in 1956, and was formed in South Australia by the Associated Wholesalers Warehouse.
