3DN good and evil

There are things that we as human beings should not be doing because it diminishes the capacity of the planet to support life. There are sociopaths for whom we need to take measures to protect ourselves. But, for the most part, every human being is doing the best they can given the system as it exists and each individual's skills and knowledge.

I am not opposed to any existing organization although I may disagree with any given choice that organization might make. Rather, I seek to understand how the system functions lead them to conclude that certain choices are in their best interest. If the system as a whole is not functioning properly, the answer is not to restrict the activities of organizations. The answer is to create new choices, or new organizations that can make better choices.

Natural systems will be at risk until humans can obtain what we need and desire in ways that, at least, do no harm to natural systems and, preferably, provide for our needs through enhancing natural systems. Punishing the behavior of existing organizations does nothing to bring us closer to that goal.

There is a place for rational regulation such as anti-trust and anti-pollution regulations. However, to say that we need to dismantle the multinational corporations is counterproductive. That would destroy existing productive relationships and cause hardship for those involved. Rather, we need to focus on what new sets of relationships we can create that will produce new value.

I am absolutely certain that human systems utilizing the biological potential of natural systems will be substantially more productive than prevailing industrial systems. The human/natural systems will also create an environment much more pleasing to human existence. Therefore, that is where I want to focus my attention.
