- We are so glad that you came! We love sharing the story of how our family of three became six! I will start by sharing a little about our lives before we became six. Shain and I were married December 18, 1999 and like most newlyweds, we were uncertain about when would be the right time to start a family. On May 20 of 2003, we were blessed with our first child, a little boy we named Ethan Roger. He was born after a very uneventful pregnancy with virtually no complications. He was born at 42 weeks (ugh!) and weighed in at 8lbs 15oz. He has enriched our lives immensely since that day, growing and changing and surprising us with every new development.
