- This site was created by me, Bill Zimmerman, to keep my friends, family and anyone else involved in my day-to-day experience as a technologist working in the Republic of Cameroon. I came to this country as a Peace Corps Volunteer in June of 2006 and remained here following the end of my service to pursue work on a variety of IT-related projects. The name of this blog was inspired by official press releases from Peace Corps, which conclude with the phrase “Peace Corps is a 27 month commitment.” It’s a bit passé now, but I still like the URL.
