- Shawn would often sing at the top of his voice while commuting and travelling alone. His first karaoke experience was singing "Raw Hide" at a bar in San Luis Obispo, and it was terrifying. He swore he would never sing again, but secretly was hoping for another chance. Then one day in San Francisco at a friend's party, he picked up a mic, sang Frank Sinatra and was hooked. Within months he opened his own (underground) karaoke bar at "Space 049" and the rest is history.
