Description
Sather's Jewelers was first established in 1916 by Sigurd Ludwig (S.L.) Sather. The first location was in Duluth, Minnesota, his brother, Art Sather, opened a store in Spooner, Wisconsin. In 1930, S.L. Sather moved his family to a small town on the western slope of Colorado, Craig. Here S.L. opened another jewelry store.
S.L. had four sons whom he assisted in opening their own jewelry stores in Utah, Wyoming, and Colorado. His son, Howard, received the store in Craig. Upon Howard's death in 1965, his son, Sid, inherited this store.
Sid and his two daughters now run the operation as well as his grandsons who are now the fifth generation to be involved in the Sather's legacy of jewelers.
