For millennia, billions of people huddled in their temples and their churches and their mosques trying to exorcise guilt for their imagined trangressions and reserve favor in some immortal afterworld. They even warred in murderous hypocrisy over such ideals. Tragically, pleasure and caprice became the enemy of life rather than its virtue. Wealth became known as 'greed'. The joy of sexual exploration became unlawful 'fornication'. Even pride was reduced to 'vanity'. And any proven fact of science outside the bindings of the 'good book' became heresy. And for what? The sake of His 'glory'? The unverifiable promise of eternal life? God be damned! Let man have his day!"
