I adore their looks, their personality and their versatility. While I am relatively new to the breed, I have been fortunate enough to have several quite influential mentors – notably Wency Lopez of Shantri Australian Shepherds and Kathy Warren of Windsong Australian Shepherds.
Wency is Kali's breeder and has been willing to answer all my persistent questions (even now!) and it was Wency who introduced me to Kathy Warren and got me hooked on working dogs on stock. Kathy has been a never-ending source of information and has the patience of a saint when explaining the finer nuances of training to me.
She also graciously agreed to breed Fred (WTCH Windsong's Falcon, PATDsc, RTDsc) to Kali and has been helping me with every aspect of Aussies – be it stock dog training, pedigree info or just plain “doggy common sense” ever since.
