- The idea of building englishbeats.com was born in the early 2003. At the time, due to technological and financial limitations, it was very difficult for one person to setup a website of this nature. English Beats needed a web designer, a copywriter, a web developer, and a multimedia producer. In addition, someone had to select and collect the songs from the 70's, 80's and 90's. There were two previous versions of the site, the first one had 20 songs with music and lyrics and was online by the end of 2003. In July 2004, the second version had 150 songs with music, lyrics and a link to access an external dictionary. The problem was that that dictionary was displayed in a big window covering the lyrics and the music player.
