Snail Mail Scare Marketing Tactics
I got an unsolicited letter in the mail saying "Domain Name Expiration Notice", and "You must renew your domain name to retain exclusive rights to it on the Web, and now is the time to transfer and renew your names from your current Registrar to the Domain Registry of America."
My renewal date for my domain names is not for quite some time into next year! Plus, Droa.com wants $30 for one year and $50 for two years. This is way more expensive than what I pay now!
MY ADVICE IS TO AVOID THIS Droa.com!

I've just received a similar letter... although, it does at least give the impression that I have the option of *not* switching to their service. Maybe this has something to do with it... http://www.ftc.gov/opa/2003/12/domainreg.shtm
Seems like they're are still up to their old tricks.
